A pioneer of Scandinavian design, Karin Mobring (1932-2005) designed the Diana Armchair in 1972 for Ikea, where she worked as head of the Design department from 1964 to 1993.
The structure of Diana was based on the idea of collapsible safari chairs popularized by the Dane Kaare Klint as home furniture in the 1930s.
