In 1985, Vegni founded his own design studio, Giancarlo Vegni Design, in Florence. Since then, he has worked for many internationally renowned brands in the fields of furnishings, fashion, luxury accessories and lighting. His creations are characterized by a blend of innovation, aesthetics and functionality. His best-known works include the "Oyster" furniture collection for Fiam Italia, the "Gelly" chair collection for Driade and the "Musa" lamp for FontanaArte. Vegni has won numerous international design awards, including the prestigious Red Dot Design Award and the Good Design Award. His creations have been exhibited in museums and galleries worldwide, including MoMA in New York and the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris.
