Kralj
He is best known for his modernist furniture creations, notably the "Rex" chair and the "Rex Lounge" chair, which have become design classics. Born in Maribor, Slovenia, Kralj studied architecture at Belgrade University before concentrating on industrial design. He worked for the Slovenian company Stol Kamnik for several years, where he designed a number of award-winning functional and modern furniture pieces. Over the course of his career, Kralj has worked for a number of design companies, including Emo, Rex Kralj, Stol, and Kovinarska, and his creations have been shown at numerous international exhibitions. In addition to his furniture creations, Kralj has also designed industrial objects such as lighting fixtures and construction elements. His work is characterized by a focus on functionality and efficiency, and the use of natural, sustainable materials. Today, Niko Kralj's creations are considered collector's items by design enthusiasts, and are exhibited in numerous art and design museums around the world.
