During the 1950s and 1960s, Preben Dal worked for a number of Danish design companies, including C. F. Christensen, Søborg Møbelfabrik and Randers Møbelfabrik. He has designed a wide variety of furniture, from chairs and tables to cabinets and shelving, often using materials such as wood, leather and metal. His designs are known for their simplicity and functionality, as well as for their elegant aesthetic. Preben Dal has won numerous awards for his work, including the gold prize at the Milan Triennale in 1957 and the Danish Association of Applied Arts prize in 1966.
