He began his career as an architect after graduating from Milan Polytechnic in 1936, working in Gio Ponti's practice. He also worked with other great names in Italian architecture, such as Franco Albini and Ignazio Gardella. Caccia Dominioni is best known for his work as an interior designer, creating furniture and objets d'art for renowned brands such as Azucena, Boffi, FontanaArte and Lumina. His designs were characterized by their elegant simplicity and judicious use of materials. His most famous works include the "Luminator" table lamp for FontanaArte, the "Tavolino 1932" coffee table for Azucena and the "Gilda" armchair for Lumina. Caccia Dominioni also worked on several architectural projects, including the renovation of the courtyard of the Basilica Sant'Eustorgio in Milan and the design of the church of Santa Maria della Pace in San Donato Milanese. Throughout his career, Caccia Dominioni received numerous awards and distinctions for his work, including the Compasso d'Oro in 1955 and 1956. Today, his designs are considered classic examples of modern Italian design.
