Antique decorative ceramic dish from Mons, numbered and signed by Antoine Dubois (died 1949), produced between the two World Wars.
Round, fairly deep, with five notches, decorated with incised and glazed blue, brown, and beige enamels featuring naive and symbolic iconography, evoking a swaddled infant in its cradle surmounted by a stylized flower with protective value, a recurring motif in regional folk art.
The presence of five notches and the decoration suggest an object with symbolic purpose, possibly a decorative plate for a child or a gift for a birth or christening.

Date: 1930s–1940s.
