This is the Dragon Robot Daikengo Shogun, produced by Il Giocattolo in 1979.
Very vintage and rare, and complete, including box,
this Italian 'Dragon' Robot,
A classic collectible from the late seventies, which perfectly captures the distinctive aesthetic of early robot and mecha toy lines.
This is the unofficial die-cast/plastic variant, based on the iconic anime robot Uchuu Majin Daikengo.
The robot is crafted from a combination of plastic and metal, with a striking color palette of red, blue, yellow, and silver accents.
Limbs not 100% tight, though; stands perfectly upright.
This example is remarkably complete and comes with the original box, various weapons including swords and a shield, and extra fists. Production took place in Hong Kong for the Italian market, which adds to the historical context of this piece.
The robot is in good condition commensurate with its age, retaining its original character and functionality. The box shows the expected signs of age, but is structurally intact and makes a valuable addition for the collector.
