With the 'Coming soon' view we preview items in our product overview that will be online soon. This way we provide everyone the opportunity to keep an eye on new items coming in and not miss a top deal. When an item has the label 'Coming soon' (indicated in blue), it is therefore not yet possible to bid, buy or chat. However, buyers can already set an alert to stay informed of when the ad goes live. You will receive an email as soon as the item is online. You can then bid directly on the item or buy it for the asking price with the 'Buy now' button.

What does buying cost on Whoppah?

Creating an account is free. When you purchase an item, you pay € 1.99 service costs for each purchase. Depending on the chosen payment method (Visa and Mastercard), additional costs will be charged to the buyer for paying via this payment method. Payment via iDeal and Bancontact and Giropay is free. This is clearly stated at the checkout.

At Whoppah, we believe it is important that you, the buyer, can make safe and protected purchases. That's why we offer the Whoppah buyer protection when you pay through our platform. Buyer Protection is 4% (with a minimum amount of 10 euros) of the total sales amount and is automatically added to the subtotal. Buyer protection is not mandatory and you can optionally disable it during checkout. Buyer protection consists of:

The courier checks the condition of the item with the information in the ad. In addition, the courier takes 5 photos of the item when the item gets picked up by the Whoppah courier. If anything is discovered that is not visible in the photos, the burden of proof lies with the buyer.

How does bidding work?

As a seller, you determine the minimum amount you want for your item. Do you get an offer? Then you can accept it by clicking on the green check mark. If you want to reject a bid, click on the red cross. You make a counter-offer by stating an amount in the 'Counter-bid' window. As soon as you accept an offer as a seller, there is a deal. You just sold your item!

How do I know if what I'm buying is really as stated?

Our curators check whether an advertisement meets our standards. We also check for authenticity. Unfortunately, we cannot 100% guarantee that what you buy will always be exactly as advertised. If you use our courier service, the courier will check whether the item corresponds to the advertisement during collection from the buyer. It is always recommended to do your own research into the authenticity of an item. In any case, we promise that you will get your money back if the item is not original or differs substantially from the way it was presented upon collection or delivery.

Good' means the item is in good condition, but shows signs of use. 'Very good' means the item may show signs of use, but these are not noticeable. 'Excellent' means that you can hardly find any traces of use. Always take a close look at the photos and chat with the seller about the condition if you are unsure about anything.
