The DS-167 Island sofa by De Sede, designed by Hugo de Ruiter, is an elegant and sculptural design sofa that combines organic forms and innovative functionality. This version, the DS-167/29, features fully adjustable back cushions, allowing the sofa to be flexibly adjusted to various seating positions, for lounging, relaxing, or focusing on a conversation partner or the view. The seat and backrest are upholstered in 24 Select leather in 17 Taupe, a high-quality nappa leather approximately 1.2 to 1.4 mm thick. This lightly pigmented leather reveals the natural folds, grain, and pore structure of the leather. The special finish allows the leather to retain its natural appearance and develop a beautiful patina over time. The back cushions are upholstered in fabric 7714 Velour in color 125, a luxurious 90% cotton and 10% modal fabric with a soft, velvety texture created by cutting open small loops in the fabric. This creates an elegant look and a pleasantly soft feel. The sofa stands on a polished stainless steel base and measures 236 cm wide, 149 cm deep, and 75 cm high, with a seat height of 42 cm. Thanks to the combination of high-quality materials, craftsmanship, and a sophisticated sliding mechanism, the DS-167 Island sofa offers exceptional seating comfort and flexibility, allowing it to effortlessly adapt to a variety of living spaces and lifestyles.
