everything in very good condition. Only a light tear of the tape on the back (see photo)
Christian Silvain is one of Belgium's most famous modern artists.
His works hang in about 80 museums all over the world, not least in Nat. Museum of Modern Art Brussels, Tate Galery London, Rockefeller Art Center New York (cfr photo at the back with more extensive frame).
Was quickly assigned to the Belgian Surrealist school, especially since his work was strongly influenced by Delvaux in the early period. He himself refers to his childhood, lived above aunt's toy shop in his youth and this magical world can be found in his works.
Airplanes are depicted in many of his works (also here) The artist's way to
escape to this magical world.
Lithograph is numbered by the artist himself (here 67/100), self-titled and signed.
Expertly framed in a black frame.
