Ulrika Hydman Vallien (1938 to 2018) was a Swedish artist who specialized in stained glass and decorative painting. She is best known for her glass designs. She has cooperated for many years and created a strong design profile for the Swedish glassworks Kosta Boda. A frequently appearing motif in her works was a tulip and a snake as an attempt to depict paradise. Hydman Vallien was one of only 50 artists selected to work with British Airways to create designs for the fleet. Her works have been exhibited in many museums around the world. As a tribute to the artist, a street in the Swedish town of Åfors was named after her.
