Canvas by Zivojin Celic (born 1954 in Nils, Serbia - died 2020)
Place of activity; Enschede
Celic completed secondary art school (five years) in three years. He then graduated cum laude from the art school in Belgrade in three years in 1973.
In the Netherlands he completed the art academy in two years (five-year course). A master in handling paint. The paint, which has been applied in different ways, is often scraped off again, creating almost graphic effects. Each painting is built up from a basic idea, after which it is overlapped by another image. A painting may represent as many as 10 paintings, but by making parts disappear again, new ones are added, creating a total harmony in which many thoughts are hidden, an energy comes together that will continue to fascinate the viewer.
Nevertheless, the additional paintings will always remain subordinate to the basic idea. The viewer will sense three-dimensional effect and emotional depth. You will experience a positive appearance and a warm feeling when viewing his work. A formidable sense of color. A lust for the eye.
Internationally, Zivojin has had many exhibitions. Many owners of his work, living in Europe, Argentina, Australia, Japan, USA and the Netherlands, are witness to this.
