JACQUELINE SCHAEFER (Amstelveen 1961) graduated in 1989 from the Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. Over the years she developed her own style, which is characterized by clear shapes, bright colors and strongly defined black contours, divided into harmonious color sections. She has opted for the figurative, but not realistic image. The themes of her paintings vary from cheerful, strange fantasy birds, static and subdued still lifes to female nudes. Since 2004 she has also made figurines of, among other things, strange birds, a challenge that she is developing further in addition to painting.
