Product description
A striking hand-carved wooden sculpture in the form of an intersecting cross, dating from the 1970s. The solid geometric composition and tactile material presence place this work within the tradition of Brutalist Constructivism, where structure and form become a language of purity and order.
The intersecting cubic volumes seem to balance tension and symmetry, reflecting both architectural discipline and spiritual abstraction. Its handcrafted surfaces, subtly patinated by time, evoke the meditative objecthood of Minimal and Concrete Art movements that flourished in postwar Europe.
