This work of art comes from a private art collection that was liquidated in Cologne-Bayenthal a few years ago. We bought this painting and another one there a few years ago, but we have only been able to attribute this work to Mr. Isaac Grünewald. However, we had to have it unframed beforehand, as only a third of the signature could be seen in the original frame. We can't say any more about the artwork, as we once had it valued on "Barnebys-Va- lueMyStuff", but the first time we tried it, the frame was still around it. The second attempt was not really any more enlightening, as another expert found the 3 ''' in front of the signature misleading. In other words, he described these "" strokes as a "W". We hope that it is an original work by Isaac Grünewald, especially as Grünewald used countless or different signatures (over the years).
