This artist, known for his seascapes, exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago in the late 1890s.
This work, too, was created in the late 19th century and is fittingly framed in a solid oak frame. It was offered for sale at the time by the renowned Dutch art dealer Gebroeders Koch.
The dimensions are 70 x 31.5 x 3.5 cm
(27.5 x 12.4 x 1.3 inches).
There are moisture stains on the back; the artwork is undamaged.
