After growing up in Hoorn, he went to the IVKO in Amsterdam, a secondary school for art subjects. Here a world opened up for Selwyn in which he developed and developed at lightning speed.
At an exhibition in Hoorn, he was still at school, almost everything was sold immediately!
Selwyn's paintings have long been sought after and successful in and outside the Netherlands. The colorful images with champagne bottles, lobsters and scantily clad beauties is his signature style. A combination of pop art and graffiti. Gangsters are also a recurring feature.
He exhibits extensively abroad, including in Oslo, Paris and New York.
The offered work was carried out by Selwyn on behalf of the current owner.
Not every question (assignment) was/is performed by Selwyn, but he thought this was such a fun one. He himself also likes Salvador Dali's art a lot and how beautiful it is to be able to depict such a great other artist on canvas as an artist. The result is a beautiful canvas where the characteristics of Selwyn and Dali merge.
