Poul Cadovius bookcase with storage space designed for KLM (Koninklijke Nederlandsche Meubelfabriek) – Mutters in ca. 1960. This teak cabinet consists of two parts stacked on top of each other that can be easily separated from each other by means of iron pins (currently fixed with 2 pins). color difference in the photos is due to light. The KLM-Mutters company was founded in about 1816 by the Mutters family in The Hague. The company was passed down from father to son. In the course of the 19th century it grew into one of the largest and most famous furniture factories in the Netherlands. In addition to manufacturing furniture, the company also provided entire interiors for, among others, the royal family, KLM aircraft and (luxury) ships. For the well-known ship the Titanic, the company provided the furniture and equipment for 24 luxury cabins, furniture for the reception, veranda, smoking lounge and the "private deck".
