This set of eight Danish teak chairs was designed in the early 1950s by Aksel Bender Madsen and Ejnar Larsen and produced by Willy Beck in Denmark. The chairs embody Danish modernism at its most accessible: elegant, comfortable, and meticulously crafted, without ever becoming formal or aloof.
The slender teak frames have a warm, refined appearance and flow seamlessly into the gently tapered legs. The generously shaped seats and backrests are upholstered in black leather, creating a beautiful contrast with the wood and ensuring comfortable seating. The gently curved backrest naturally supports the back, making these chairs ideal for long dinners and relaxing moments at the table.
The set is in very good condition, with only minor signs of wear commensurate with age. The leather looks well-cared for and supple, and the wood has been beautifully preserved, respecting its original character.
