Helena Tynell (1918-2016):
H. Tynell was a Finnish glass artist.
She studied at the Central School of Industrial Design, now part of Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture, graduating in 1943. Tynell primarily worked with molded and blown glass.
Some of her works are in the permanent collections of the Design Museum in Helsinki, the Nationalmuseum in Stockholm, and the Corning Museum of Glass in Corning, USA.
Glashütte Limburg, a German manufacturer specializing in interior glass lighting, preserves traditional craftsmanship.
These light fixtures are made with mouth-blown glass in a glassworks located in the town of Limburg.
