Rare dining set consisting of an oval table and five chairs, designed and crafted by Marc van Rampelberg in Kenya in the late 1980s. The set is made entirely of solid muninga wood, an African hardwood with a warm, vibrant grain. After years of traveling through Africa, Van Rampelberg settled in Kenya, where he began designing furniture. His signature style is based on the pursuit of a sense of "unity"—his designs appear to be formed from a single piece, resulting in flowing lines and sculptural forms. This set was produced in limited editions and is in good vintage condition, with minor signs of wear and a warm patina commensurate with age.
