We are pleased to present this early 20th-century oil painting on board. This stunning coastal landscape of the island of Ischia is signed at the bottom left: Ricciardi. It is likely the work of the Italian painter Oscar Ricciardi (Naples, February 24, 1864 – Naples, 1935), without authentic.
This small painting captures the charm of the Italian coast. The dense vegetation of a pine forest on the right overlooks the sea and a fantastic distant horizon where sky and sea meet. The painterly quality is evident in a highly personal style, characterized by bold, textured brushstrokes that seem to bring the landscape and trees to life.
