Original heliogravure after an etching by Jan Mankes: "Self-Portrait" from 1910. The heliogravure dates from 1927. Jan Mankes has gone down in art history as "Holland's most tranquil painter."
The heliogravure was published in 1927 by Mankes, his wife A. Zernike-Mankes, and Roland Holst. Publisher: J.A.A.M. van Es - Wassenaar 1927. The engraving is in excellent condition and comes in a black frame with a cream-colored mat.
