Antique 19th-century engraving entitled "Magnetism," after Louis-Léopold Boilly (engraved in the plate "L. Boilly 1826"), depicting a satirical scene about animal magnetism, a very popular subject in the early 19th century.
The engraving is a hand-colored etching, presented under glass in its original varnished wooden frame.
The piece has a beautiful patina and a decorative charm typical of 19th-century wall prints.
Good overall condition. Paper slightly yellowed with a few minor age spots. Antique frame with normal signs of wear.
An ideal decorative piece for a period interior, cabinet of curiosities, library, or classical-style wall decoration.
