English Silver-Plated Sugar Bowl & Milk Jug – E.P.N.S. A.1. Made in England (ca. 1900-1950)
An elegant, classic set consisting of a sugar bowl with lid and a milk jug, both crafted from A1-grade electroplated nickel silver (E.P.N.S.), which represents a high-quality, thicker silver plating.
This set is typically English craftsmanship from the first half of the 20th century – a period when this type of silver-plated tableware was popular with English silversmiths, particularly around Sheffield. The style combines Edwardian elegance with Art Deco influences: soft ribbing, sleek handles, and a refined beaded rim.

Background information:
E.P.N.S. (Electro Plated Nickel Silver) was widely used in England from the late 19th century onwards as an alternative to solid silver. The "A1" marking indicates that this set belonged to the highest quality silver plating available at the time.
The "Made in England" designation became mandatory for export around the beginning of the 20th century, meaning this set was almost certainly produced between approximately 1910 and 1950.
