Vintage Chinese plate in the Famille Rose style, from the porcelain studios of Hong Kong or Macau, Da Qing Qianlong period.
The design depicts a richly decorated vase (a symbol of peace) filled with peonies (which represent wealth and happiness in Chinese culture). To the right of the vase stands a "Foo Dog" or "Buddhist Lion" on a small drum or pot.
The details are hand-colored. The rim is decorated with a continuous pattern of floral tendrils and scrollwork against a shaded pink background.
Dimensions: 26 cm diameter.
In excellent vintage condition, no cracks or chips, only a small streak, but that is likely due to the firing process.
