The statue depicts a bust of the Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi (1813-1901).
The name "G. VERDI" is visible on the base of the statue, which refers to his full name, Giuseppe Fortunino Francesco Verdi.
Verdi was one of the most influential opera composers of the 19th century, known for works such as La Traviata, Aida, and Rigoletto.
The statue is gilded bronze and is signed on the side by A. Lucchesi (copyright 1991).
