This set of 4 religious pendants originates from France. They are vintage and antique silver-colored metal medals from the period between 1900 and 1950.
Medal 1: This pendant features a detailed relief of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Similar antique examples often date from the early 20th century, for example around the 1930s or 1950s.
Medal 2: Depicts Saint Thérèse of Lisieux. This specific medal bears the Latin inscription "Sancta Teresia a Jesu Infante". Thérèse of Lisieux was canonized by the Catholic Church in 1925. Because she is explicitly designated as a saint (Sancta) and not as a blessed (Beata), this medal cannot have been manufactured before 1925.
Medal 3: This pendant features a relief of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary. On the reverse is the iconic "M" surmounted by a cross surrounded by twelve stars. It is based on the apparition of Saint Catherine Labouré in Paris, France, in 1830 and is approximately 70 years old.
Medal 4: depicts Our Lady of Bonsecours, with an image of the Virgin Mary and the Infant Jesus in an ornate, hexagonal frame, flanked by lilies. Often found in Art Nouveau or antique style. This is the oldest pendant of the four, dating from around 1900.
Average height of the pendants: 2 centimeters
