For sale is an exceptionally beautiful and decorative double inkstand from the Napoleon III era (France, late 19th century).
This artfully crafted piece is made of solid cast bronze and captivates with its elaborate decorations featuring detailed animal figures, including two lionesses, as well as decorative elements in the style of phoenixes or mythical creatures. The original patina underscores the historical charm of this rare collector's item.
The two original white porcelain inkwells are fully intact. The inkstand is signed "EC" under one of the feet and also numbered.
