A complete set you don't often encounter: a Dutch dining set from the late 1950s, completely in the spirit of the Mid-Century Modern period.
The dining table stands out for its clever functionality. It's a round table that can be easily extended thanks to its butterfly top. This extension folds up from underneath and unfolds, typical of the innovative designs of that era.
The four chairs have that characteristic, organic design, particularly in the backrest, where we see a heart shape. They are upholstered in a neat, dark blue fabric.
The seat is sturdy, typical of the late 1950s, and encourages an active sitting position – characteristic of the ergonomic thinking of the time.
The woodwork of both the table and the chairs has developed a beautiful patina over the decades; it has a characterful appearance that perfectly complements vintage furniture. The set is complete and in original, ready-to-use condition.
