■ A MAJOR AESTHETIC BREAKTHROUGH
Les Merciers is privileged to present a masterpiece of 1970s furniture: this complete set comprising a dining table and four matching chairs. Designed in 1970 by the French designer of Russian origin, Boris Tabacoff, this set represents a fascinating exploration of visual imbalance and levitation. It is a design that commands an immediate and sculptural presence in any contemporary interior.
■ A FEAT OF STEEL ENGINEERING
The innovation of this set lies in its airy architecture. The table's base is a sophisticated geometric composition: a bundle of chromed lines supporting a large circular top of transparent glass. The four chairs adopt the same philosophy: a continuous, curved (sled-like) chromed metal base, creating the illusion of weightless seating. The shells offer excellent support thanks to seat and back cushions upholstered in a textured fabric, whose warmth contrasts with the metal frame.

■ DETAILED CONDITION REPORT (Collector Transparency)
In the interest of complete transparency, essential for our clients, we specify that this set is in good original condition. Having survived for over half a century, it naturally bears the authentic marks of its history:
Chrome-plated metal: The frame is perfectly stable, but the chrome shows some scratches from use and slight pitting in places, attesting to its age.
Glass top: This is the original glass. It has normal scratches from use and a small crack (clearly visible in our close-up photographs), which in no way affects its strength or function.
Seats: The fabric is generally well-preserved, but shows minor signs of wear: a small hole is visible on the top of one of the chairs, as well as small, discreet cuts on another. This set has been carefully cleaned and retains a spectacular architectural presence and undeniable vintage charm.
