Walter Bosman's (1971) works show a combination of realism, naivety and abstraction. His subjects are always recognizable, but each image is peculiar in several respects, and his compositions are also unusual. Recognizable reality is depicted in an alienated atmosphere. The last series of works are about Californian landscapes. Walter's own life serves as the subject, but is supplemented and modified to his liking. In this way, a mix of reality and fantasy is created that is further enriched by building a bridge between realism and abstraction, image and text, humor and drama.
