This model is the Spaghetti chair by Giandomenico Belotti, designed in the 1970s for the Italian design brand Alias.
The model became internationally renowned and is represented in numerous museums of design history. A key feature is the combination of delicate aesthetics and robust functionality, as well as the possibility of space-saving stacking - as clearly visible in one of the pictures.
This stacking chair is a highly functional yet elegantly designed piece of seating furniture that is ideal for public or private spaces where flexible seating is required.
The clear design language is based on a light but stable frame made of powder-coated tubular metal, whose dark grey coloring radiates modern restraint. The characteristic, slightly curved shape of the armrests not only sets a visual accent, but also increases seating comfort.
The seat and backrest are made of a tightly stretched, breathable synthetic fabric in black.
This fabric is not only hard-wearing and easy to clean, but also ensures that it adapts flexibly to the body. The backrest is also equipped with an integrated reinforcement band that is fixed at the back with two aluminum clips. These clips are marked with the words "Alias" and "Italy" - a clear indication of the manufacturer and the origin of the piece of furniture.
