He is best known for his contribution to abstract art and his role in the 20th-century art world. In the 1920s, Seuphor moved to Paris, where he immersed himself in the avant-garde art scene. He befriended many leading artists of the time, including Piet Mondrian. Seuphor became a fervent advocate of abstract art. In addition to his work as an artist, Seuphor was a prolific writer and critic, publishing numerous articles and books on abstract art.
