Michiel van der Kley was born in 1962 in The Hague. Currently, Michiel van der Kley resides in Tilburg, Netherlands. During his studies in history, he became acquainted with design from the twenties, prompting him to start designing himself. Since 1987, he has been working for manufacturers both domestically and internationally, including Lande, for whom he designed the 1st Class.
