UNDERCARRIAGE
Vitra mainly uses aluminum and steel for metal parts. Because 94% less energy is required to produce recycled aluminum compared to primary aluminium, Vitra uses aluminum that contains 95% recycled material as often as possible. Depending on the product, metal surfaces are powder-coated, chrome-plated, polished, galvanized or lacquered. A smooth or textured powder coated finish adds color and protects the surface.
