Beautiful miniature production by Gerrit Rietveld and the most famous chair in the Netherlands; the slatted chair, or the Red-Blue chair.
The original design of the Red and Blue chair by Gerrit Rietveld is from 1917 – 1918, and has a natural wooden finish. Gerrit Rietveld painted his revolutionary chair in 1921 in primary colors as a result of his collaboration with the 'de Stijl' movement and has become an absolute icon of the De Stijl movement.
This miniature version of the Red-Blue chair is made with great precision, and on all levels - as far as possible - is exactly the same as the full-size chair. The construction method, gluing and use of color are exactly copied from the original.
