Product description
This decorative set of four hand-painted ceramic tiles originates from the Netherlands and features classic motifs of Dutch tile and faience art. Each tile is framed and ideally suited for wall decoration or stylish display on a sideboard or console.
Two tiles depict traditional blue and white ornaments in the Delft or Makkum style (floral compositions, bird motifs).
One tile features a richly detailed butterfly motif in delicate coloring.
Another tile is painted with a still life of fruit in a restrained, classic color scheme.
One of the tiles bears an original inscription on the reverse from the Royal Makkumer Aardewerk- und Tegelfabriek B.V. (Makkum, Netherlands). The inscription explains the centuries-old tradition of handcrafted and hand-painted tiles made from Frisian clay and confirms their artisanal origin.
