Beautiful Bronze Art Deco table lamp from circa 1920. The design consists of a stylized bronze swan holding the lampshade with its beak. The lamp was designed by Charles Ranc, a French sculptor who worked during the Art Nouveau and Art Deco periods. In 1909 he set up his own bronze foundry in Paris. Here he made sculptures and lamps. His work was praised for its extreme precision. When manufacturing lamps, he regularly collaborated with Verrie Charles Schneider from Épinay-sur-Seine, who supplied the glass parts for the lamps. In the early 1930s, the name of the bronze foundry was changed to Ranc Frères. The lamp is in good condition and is 37 cm high and 20 wide (foot).
In good condition with light traces of use appropriate to the age of the item
