Artist: Adnan Korukcu (renowned Turkish ceramicist)
Period: 1990s-2000s
This stoneware collector's piece is an original, hand-modeled anthropomorphic work. It features a face with highly expressive incised features, emblematic of the artist's style.
The exterior blue-violet glaze is remarkable for its crystallization effects. The interior has a light glaze with a crazing effect (fine, natural cracks in the glaze).
Condition Details:
Exterior: Good overall appearance. A small original firing shrinkage crack is visible on the rim (due to the kiln handling of the clay; it is not a dent).
Interior: A small internal hairline crack is visible upon examination. The piece remains solid and retains all its decorative value.
Unique stoneware piece crafted by a master of expressionism.
