Discover the elegance of this WMF wine, lemonade, or water carafe, also known as the "Kalte Ente." The carafe is most likely a design by Wilhelm Wagenfeld, who designed several of these carafes for WMF. This distinctive carafe, with its silver-plated lid and handle, features an engraved diamond pattern in the glass. Inside, there is a glass tube that can be filled with ice. The height, including the thumb rest, is 33 cm.
This type of carafe is a German phenomenon and is also known as a "Kalte Ente." The term refers to a cold drink of white wine with mint or lemon balm, enjoyed at the end of a meal instead of coffee.
The carafe, including all silver-plated parts, is in perfect condition. It bears the WMF hallmark, which was used between 1935 and 1964.
