Wegner Hans Jørgensen Wegner (Tondern, April 2, 1914 – January 26, 2007) was one of the most inventive of the Danish furniture designers. His cleverly designed chairs combine solid craftsmanship with a refined minimalist design, inspired by Shaker everyday objects. It was largely due to Wegner's work that Danish design became a household name in the 1950s.
