This beautiful Watapunga lamp from the MaMo Nouchies series, designed by Ingo Maurer and Dagmar Mombach in 1998, is a tribute to Isamu Noguchi and Japanese Akari craftsmanship. Featuring delicate, handcrafted elements of paper, metal, silicone, glass, and aluminum, the lamp sits elegantly on a steel base and is equipped with a 50-watt halogen bulb with a dimmer. The lamp has such a sculptural appearance that it's more of a work of art than an ordinary table lamp.
The lamp has been used but still looks fantastic. It has never been in direct sunlight. The rubber part of the mirror is slightly discolored. The paper has discolored somewhat over the years.
This lamp is no longer in production.
Offered in the original box and with the original 50-watt halogen bulb.
It currently has an LED bulb installed.
Because the lamp is 100 cm high, the original box is much taller:
120 cm x 20 cm x 17 cm. This means that, despite its very low weight, shipping costs are higher than usual.
Pickup is preferred.
Or, use a courier.
