Tecla table lamp by Noti Massari for Leucos SPA - Murano Italy - 1965 - A great classic of Italian design, the Tecla lamp is entirely handmade and mouth-blown in the glass workshops of Murano - The lamp is sublime, perfectly intact - Made entirely of glass, including the black edging - It rests on a heavy white-lacquered steel base - Noti Massari (1939 - ), Venetian by birth, culture and choice, graduated in architecture in 1967 in the class of Carlo Scarpa (1906 - 1978). He began his career at the Fratelli Toso 1854 glassworks. He collaborated with numerous Italian design companies, conceiving lighting and furniture projects for Vistosi, Artemide, Foscarini, Stilwood, Venini and Leucos. He has taken part in numerous exhibitions, including Palazzo Grassi and the Querini Stampalia Foundation in Venice, and group shows at the Musée du Louvre in Paris, MoMA and the Corning Glass Museums in New York.
