Product description
Beautiful and highly collectible “Lunaria” glass bowl designed by renowned Finnish designer Tapio Wirkkala for Iittala in the 1970s. This sculptural piece is inspired by natural forms, evoking the look of an icy landscape or the cratered surface of the moon—an iconic example of Nordic brutalist and organic modern design.
The thick, textured clear glass catches and refracts the light beautifully, creating depth and movement from every angle. A timeless centerpiece that works equally well as a decorative object, catchall, or part of a curated Scandinavian glass collection.
Tapio Wirkkala (1915–1985) was one of Finland’s most influential designers, celebrated for his ability to translate nature into refined, expressive forms. The Lunaria series remains one of his most admired works.
