Translandia (DK) – Pine Veneer Pendant Lamp, Denmark, 1960s/70s An original pendant lamp by the Danish manufacturer Translandia – the "Translandia DK" nameplate is present. Translandia produced a wide range of pine veneer lamps in Denmark, contemporaneous with and formally related to the designs by Hans-Agne Jakobsson for Ellysett in Markaryd. Concentric rings of thin, curved pine veneer are held by a simple inner cross of solid pine. When switched on, the wood glows from within: warm, translucent, with visible grain – and the staggered rings cast a soft play of light and shadow onto the ceiling. Details: • Manufacturer: Translandia, Denmark – Nameplate present (see photo in the wall light listing) • Material: Pine veneer, solid pine • Year of manufacture: ca. 1960s–70s • Socket: E27, max. 60 W, 250 V • Includes original canopy and socket • Dimensions: Ø 27 cm, H 18 cm Condition – honest and complete: Vintage condition commensurate with age, with visible signs of wear: minor damage to the pine veneer (chips or fine cracks on individual slats). Otherwise completely original – no replacement parts, no reproductions, no restoration. The canopy is also original. Important note regarding the electrical system: The wiring is original and untested. The light is sold as a decorative or collector's item.
