About the designer Burkhard Vogtherr (1942–2019) was a German industrial designer known for his clarity of line, technical intelligence and focus on human-centered comfort. He created some of the most awarded seating designs of the late 20th century and collaborated with brands such as Arflex, Rosenthal and Davis Furniture. His work is praised for being both visually quiet and structurally innovative.
