T-Line Lounge Chair by Burkhard Vogtherr for Arflex Italy, 1980s A beautifully balanced and understated lounge chair, designed by Burkhard Vogtherr for Arflex in 1985. This piece showcases Vogtherr’s refined approach to ergonomics and structure: a light, floating silhouette supported by elegant tubular legs and curved armrests. Fully reupholstered in a premium multitone fabric by Clarke & Clarke, the chair now combines its original architectural clarity with contemporary softness and luxury. Comfortable, sculptural and minimal an ideal accent for modern interiors. About the designer Burkhard Vogtherr (1942–2019) was a German industrial designer known for his clarity of line, technical intelligence and focus on human-centered comfort. He created some of the most awarded seating designs of the late 20th century and collaborated with brands such as Arflex, Rosenthal and Davis Furniture. His work is praised for being both visually quiet and structurally innovative.
