Set of 4 "Monk" Chairs – Afra & Tobia Scarpa for Molteni&C, 1980s
An iconic example of Afra and Tobia Scarpa's design rigor, the Monk model represents one of the most emblematic seats of Italian design of the second half of the 20th century. Designed in the early 1970s and produced by Molteni&C, this chair embodies a perfect synthesis of structural simplicity, noble materials, and timeless comfort.
The set offered, consisting of four original chairs purchased in the 1980s, is distinguished by a color scheme that is now extremely rare and no longer in production: a white lacquered frame paired with a black leather seat and backrest.
