Product description
A striking and increasingly uncommon set of two Paper Planes armchairs by Nipa Doshi & Jonathan Levien for Moroso, dating from the celebrated collection introduced in 2010.
This set consists of one high back armchair and one low armchair, each defined by the collection’s unmistakable folded, origami-like silhouette. The design balances sculptural presence with a highly distinctive textile composition: a graphic jacquard front, contrasting rear upholstery, and bold red leather piping that sharply outlines the flowing form.
Constructed with an internal steel frame, cold-injected polyurethane foam and a lacquered tubular steel base, the Paper Planes series is widely appreciated for its fusion of craftsmanship, textile expression and contemporary form. The contrasting upholstery and architectural linework make these chairs particularly strong as statement pieces in a curated interior.
This set remains highly decorative and visually impressive. The seats show visible wear and signs of use, consistent with age and use, and the asking price has been adjusted accordingly. Despite this, the set retains its strong overall presentation and rare collector appeal.
